The **ARIES MLX-A1 Edge AI PC** is a fully integrated, standalone edge AI PC  built around Mobilint’s ARIES NPU. Designed for edge AI applications, it delivers up to **80 TOPS** of on-device inference performance at just **<70W total system power**.

It comes preconfigured with a host CPU, ARIES MXM module, and industrial-grade components in a compact form factor. MLX-A1 Edge AI PC is ideal for real-time, low-latency inference across vision, language, and multimodal AI tasks with **no external GPU or cloud connection required**. 

## Hardware (Host System) Prerequisites

The MLX-A1 Edge AI PC is a **self-contained system**. It includes Mobilint's MLA100 MXM module internally, so users do not need a separate host system or carrier board.

However, to operate the system effectively:

- Ensure access to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse for initial setup  
- Use the included DC power adapter
- Optional: connect peripherals such as cameras, microphones, or storage via I/O ports

## Software Prerequisites

MLX-A1 Edge AI PC ships with Ubuntu or Windows preinstalled depending on configuration. The default MLX-A1 Edge AI PC image includes Mobilint’s NPU driver, runtime SDK, and utilities (`mobilint-cli`) preinstalled.
